Parental Guidance

EKA – The little Sumatran Rhino is not a fairytale, but a journey of discovery, learning and transformation rooted in reality and facts. It’s a story that does not shy away from the cruelty of poaching, but it is also a story that explores the unique bond between parent and child, while highlighting the fact that there are also good people in this world who care for animals. Eka’s story allows love and humanity to prevail, thus offering an avenue of hope and inspiration for the future.

We have created Eka’s story for parents like you who are deeply concerned about endangered species and want to educate and sensitize their children about the plight of animals from an early age on. Poaching is the main reason rhinos are endangered.  Eka’s story  only includes three scenes showing the mother rhino without her horns and these were created with the input of many parents, so as to be acceptable for little children. We believe that these scenes, though emotional, are no more upsetting than scenes from Bambi, which we all saw when we were little, accompanied by our parents. We hope you agree and take your children on this special journey.

We invite parents to accompany their children on their first journey to the jungles of Sumatra. Guiding them through the most tense and moving scenes will make all the difference in how they will perceive and learn about the threats all five rhino species are facing in our world today. Eka’s story hopes to inspire the future generation to take action and help save our endangered species.
